This is a picture of us where Hitomi is wearing a different style of
traditional dress. While we were having the photographs taken, the
photographer commented that it is not traditional to have people smile
in the photos. However, recently smiling photos have become more popular
so he usually tries to get people to pose both ways. He said that it
is usually very difficult to get Japanese men to smile for the photos,
but was happy that I made a good model (all those years of training for
smiling for photos :-).
