My friend Mahoko and her sister invited Oliver and I to a hana-mi party in Osaka-jo koen (the park surrounding Osaka's castle). Hana-mi parties are very popular in Japan, and "hana-mi" literally means to look at the flowers. The parties take the form of picnics, and there is often a lot of alcohol consumed at the parties.
