

On the map below, you can see Vancouver, Edmonton, and Ottawa ... the three cities in Canada that I have lived in. While I was born in Vancouver, I don't remember much about it since I moved to Edmonton when I was three. I lived in Edmonton through my university days, and at the age of 21, I took a job in Ottawa (Canada's capital) working for a company then called Bell Northern Research (now a part of Nortel). It was a short stint in Ottawa, and after a year and a half (at the age of 22), I headed down to the heart of computer design and Silicon Valley where I got a job at a small company called Synopsys.
